So we're never actually told explicitly when Queen Chrysalis swaps places with Cadance... obviously it's supposed to happen before the episode starts, cos Cadance isn't a meanie and is awesome and stuff, but this idea amused me so I made it flesh, or at least... digital... or something.

Oh right, so why doesn't Twilight just teleport out of there? Is she unable to teleport alicorns for some reason? Were the gemstones interfering with her spells? Did she use up too much MP firing her random attack spells at the gemstones???

Totally being lazy with the hair and the repeated frame :F

I think first off, her teleportation spell have a range, the more range, the more power she need to use, even even medium range teleportation with more then one pony exhaust her.
What's more she need to know where she is teleporting, and probably need to know where is she right now to calculate distance and direction, it may not be as easy as put coordinates and boom, you are there, it must by like, teleport 100 meters forward, 10 meters to the left and 20 meters above and hope to not end up inside a solid rock.

I bet calculating where you want to teleport is much more easy when you see where you are teleporting, for example, much more easy is to teleport into room when door is open and you see what is inside.
On the other hand she teleported herself and Spike to library when she tried to run from greedy mob of ponies, but lets be honest, she knew where library is and she knew ponyvile enough, and yet this teleportation kind of burned Spike, so we should assume teleporting on long range must be a high level stuff.

Interesting comic, but we actually know for a fact that Chrysalis swarped places with Cadance before the episode, or at least very early in it.
Cadance's alicorn glow is teal while Chrysalis's is dark green, just like Twillight's alicorn green is purple and Rarity's is white.

not aurocolour, auro is a mystical forcefield that surrounds the entire body, this glow is centered around their horn, around their "alicorn" and yes, It is funny, but we have to ignore concrete evidence.

I think my use of the word is accurate too, looking at various online definitions, though seeing as it doesn't exist, I'm not too concerned with the exact definition of the word
